I am currently attending the Craftsman Program in the Inside Passage School of Fine Woodworking, in Roberts Creek, B.C. Canada, a program that is helping me understand this fascinating craft of fine woodworking. Through exercises and proyects created thinking in the importance of work quality, human growth and passion for wood, I am having a real pleasant experience.

Our school is ran by Robert Van Norman, an incredible craftsman, who is influenced by the teachings of Master Craftsman James Krenov, who passed away on 2009. Mr. Krenov had a very special approach to woodworking, in his books you can perceive he has a special way of explaining his solutions to certain processes, the process that he follows through a piece of furniture is motivating, intelligent and more important, simple solutions to complicated situations.
I am now at more than half way of this year's program, and will start to work on my second piece here at the school. It has been quite a challenge to get to this point, we have had to go through several exercises which require of fundamental skills teached with so much care by our teacher Robert.
The school is a very nice place to be, we are seventeen students currently learning. Three of the which are attending their second year. The rest of us is learning a new world of a craft that we all feel passion for.
